Moose by Sarah Palin

Moose

Tell me mister moose,

how do you stand so stall?

I want your spirit, but not in a pagan-weird-way

we are good Christian folks.

Must I ride you?

My hands, strong enough to hold on to your antlers,

are like the working man’s.

As I consume your flesh on my family table,

A Christian table,

I pick the meat fibers from my teeth and do my hair.

I wonder, have I consumed your spirit?

The lone spirit!  A rogue spirit!  Maverick!

Moose, I am you

you are me.
